The 'Only Way Is Essex' star loved snapping self-portraits and uploading them online but insists she didn't do it to be vain but only to "have control" over how she looked.
She said: "It wasn't because I'm vain. It's because of being insecure. I have control over the way I look in my own pictures.
"I was called a 'disgusting beached whale' and one girl said I looked like I weighed 40 stone. But it was those pictures that made me realise how fat I'd got and that I really had to do something about my weight - or I'd be fat for life. They were horrendous - I felt mortified."
The 29-year-old television personality - who has dropped an impressive four stone - is looking forward to head out on her first girls' holiday in four years and is even considering posing for nude photo shoots in the near future.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "I'm really looking forward to going on a beach and being photographed because I know there are no bad angles on me any more. I haven't been on a girls' holiday in four years because I didn't feel comfortable. Now I can't wait to book one!
"I want to be naked every day! I'd definitely be up for nude shoots now while I'm young and haven't got kids."
