The former 'Men Behaving Badly' actress could be set to enter the Australian jungle later this year as she hopes to get back to work following an 11-year battle with MRSA.

Leslie, 55, contracted the bacterial infection in 2004 but has recently come off medication permanently.

A source told The Sun newspaper "While Leslie can walk again, she still sometimes uses a stick because of some balance issues which might rule her out of some challenges."

"Bosses are currently seeing people about this year's series and Leslie would be a great contestant if it could be made to work."

Leslie recently admitted on ITV's 'Lorraine' that she had come off her anti-depressants because she didn't like taking them.

Leslie said "I just thought, 'Actually, I don't like them.' You have big bits of your life missing."

The actress also told host Lorraine Kelly she was walking again and overcoming her illness with physical exercise.

Leslie added "It's taken about 11 years from doing Pilates and yoga, you find a balance of what works for you. So I work very hard at my fitness and to train my body to balance using different neurological pathways."
