Disney+ will, under the Star banner, welcome Amy Schumer’s new comedy series to the platform in just a couple of months.

Life & Beth is a brand new comedy show that will be landing on Disney+ in May this year (2022); the series stars actress and comedian Schumer, along with Michael Cera, Susannah Flood and Violet Yong.

Guest stars for the show include Kevin Kane, Yamaneika Saunders, Laura Benanti, Larry Owens, Michael Rapaport, Rosebud Baker, LaVar Walker, Jonathan Groff, Hank Azaria, June Squibb, Cazzie David, Phil Wang, with Dave Attell and Jon Glaser.

Life & Beth follows Beth (Schumer, Trainwreck, I Feel Pretty), a woman whose life would probably look great on paper, but perhaps not so much in reality.

Beth is seen as an impressive, successful woman to those she grew up with, she makes a decent living as a wine distributor, and lives in Manhattan where she has a relationship with a successful man.

However, when a surprise incident forces Beth to face her past, her life becomes much, much different.

Beth experiences flashbacks of her younger self, and learns how she became who she is today, and who she wants to become in the future.

Viewers are invited to go on Beth’s rollercoaster journey with her as she moves to build a bigger, more shocking, and more realistic life for herself; she will learn how to express herself better, and how to live in a more conscious way.

Perhaps for Beth, a journey down memory lane is just what she needs to start her new life, and what will, ultimately, bring the series themes of comedy, trauma, and ways to move on from difficult life events.

Life & Beth is written, directed, executive-produced and starring Amy Schumer, and executive-produced by Kevin Kane, Daniel Powell and Ryan McFaul. The series is produced by Endeavor Content.

Life & Beth will be available to watch on Disney+, under Star, on Friday May 18th, 2022 in the UK and Ireland.
