The couple broke the news via an Instagram poll, where Millie's 1.3m followers incorrectly guessed the pair had been on a hike.

Liam said: "‘So the answer to Millie’s poll on her story; no, we didn’t go for a hike the morning.’

"We did go looking for a new apartment to move in to."

Former bricklayer Liam, 22, went on to state that the hunt is not yet over and that he and Millie, 24, will continue their search later this week.

Liam added: "We’re viewing two more apartments tomorrow, so, yeah we’ll have a better idea tomorrow which one we’re gonna go with."

The decision to move in together is a something of a U-Turn for the reality TV stars, who upon exiting the villa in August insisted they were to take things slow.

Liam, who is from Wales, said: "I love where I'm from but I would like to venture off and move to somewhere new and Essex seems like the perfect place really. I know some of the boys who were in the villa we got on so well and they mentioned moving in together and they’d like to move to Essex so that’s something I would definitely be considering and that’s my plan really, moving to Essex."

Former ASOS sales administrator Millie echoed his feelings in her exit interview.

She said: "We haven’t been away from each other yet to miss each other and do those things that you do in normal relationships. But us girls [from the villa] will rent a house in Essex, boys will rent a house in Essex, see how that goes for six months and then get a crack on with it [moving in together]."
