Lucy Mecklenburgh and Jessica Wright have been suspended from 'The Only Way Is Essex' after getting involved in a catfight.
The pair got embroiled in a heated argument over Lucy's ex-fiancé Mario Falcone at James Argent's home last Wednesday (05.06.13) and things became physical with co-star Jasmin Walia left injured in the vicious confrontation.
Things allegedly got so heated a member of the production crew on the ITV2 show decided to step in and break things up.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The row was getting out of hand and way beyond the usual handbags that go on on the show.
"A producer decided he had to act and dashed in to break it up."
After reviewing the footage bosses decided not to use any of it in the episode that was aired on Sunday night (09.06.13) and have told Lucy and Jessica they are off the show for now.
A 'TOWIE' spokesperson said: "While our investigations continue, producers have informed Jessica and Lucy that they will not be filming."
Lucy and Mario have endured an acrimonious break-up with viewers seeing the former couple trade verbal barbs on the reality TV show.
The brunette beauty even drenched Mario in red wine following a blazing row which was seen in 'The Only Way is Essex' special, 'The Only Way is Marbs', filmed in Marbella, Spain.
