The 44-year-old skater moved into the 46-year-old actress' Essex home to form a Covid bubble after they were paired together for 'Dancing on Ice' and he has compared his new accommodation to living in a hotel.

Speaking on ITV's 'Good Morning Britain' on Thursday (26.11.20), he said: "It's been really interesting. I wasn't even sure going into this series if it was even going to happen.

"I would literally have to take my hat off to everybody at the network that it is carrying forward and we are really fortunate to be able to continue to skate when a lot of others aren't in this country.

"We decided early on that it would be safest for us to bubble together since we are skating together every day. I feel like I'm living in a five-star hotel."

However, Denise has made sure Matt earns his keep by making him do chores around the house.

She added: "We do look after him but he has to do the chores, so I make him take the bins out."

Matt confirmed that he had moved in with the 'Celebrity Gogglebox' star in October prior to London entering Tier 2 which prevented people from mixing households.

Other celebrities set to star in the show when the competition returns in 2021 include Rufus Hound, Myleene Klass, Joe-Warren Plant, Faye Brookes, Jason Donovan, Sonny Jay, Graham Bell, Colin Jackson, Rebekah Vardy, Lady Leshurr and Billie Faiers.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will be returning as hosts, and skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will form the judging panel alongside John Barrowman and Ashley Banjo.
