The ITV and ITVX show will be back in the new year, and Matt - who has been part of the programme since it launched in 2006 - will return for a 16th year.

Ice dancer Olivia Smart is joining the programme for her first year, fresh from the 2022 Winter Olympics.

As well as Sylvain and Alexandra, who will be joined on the show by her pro skater husband Lukasz Rozycki, other skaters returning include Mark Hanretty, Brendyn Hatfield, Vanessa Bauer, Tippy Packard and Colin Grafton.

Actress and DJ Patsy Palmer, football legend John Fashanu, 'Love Island' winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu, and Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson are among this year's celebrity competitors.

Former 'Coronation Street' star Mollie Gallagher, Drag Queen and TV personality The Vivienne, TV personality Joey Essex, comedian Darren Harriott, actress and West End star Carley Stenson, singer Michelle Heaton and The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran will also be part of the programme.

The Vivienne recently admitted she is delighted to be the first drag artist to take part in the show.

She said: "I'm beyond excited to announce that I will be competing in 'Dancing on Ice' in 2023! This is honestly a dream come true and I can't wait to start training on the ice.

"To be the first drag artist to take part in one of the big UK reality competition shows is truly an honour. I think it's a big step forward for queer representation on TV."

The celebrity and professional skating partnerships will be confirmed shortly.
