The two ITV daytime shows have both been removed from the schedule on Thursday (20.07.23) due to the Women's FIFA World Cup.

'This Morning' - which is currently being hosted by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary - usually runs from 10am until 12.30pm with 'Loose Women' airing for the next hour.

However, ITV is instead showing hosts Australia taking on Republic of Ireland at 11am, with coverage kicking off at 10:15am.

This means 'Lorraine' will air as planned from 9am to 10am.

The full schedule will be back to normal the following day, with the tournament pushing well into August.

Coverage is being split between ITV and BBC, with the latter showing the opening match of the competition at 8am on Thursday with New Zealand vs Norway.

Both broadcasters will show the final as it airs simultaneously across ITV1 and BBC.

ITV's coverage is being led by main presenter Laura Woods, while she and co-hosts Seema Jaswal and Michelle Owen will be joined by a range of bbig names including Jill Scott, Emma Hayes and Lucy Ward.

The commentary team will be made up of Seb Hutchinson, Sam Matterface, Pien Meulensteen and Tom Gayle, with Katie Shanahan handling extra reporting.

In a statement, Niall Sloane - ITV Director of Sport - said: “I'm delighted we have been able to assemble a squad of some of the biggest names in the game for our comprehensive coverage of the Women’s World Cup across ITV and ITVX.

"Viewers are at the heart of our coverage and our team will provide expertise, fantastic insight and the very best analysis of the action at what, with the popularity of women’s football continuing to grow, promises to be the biggest tournament yet."
