Penny Dreadful is to introduce yet another famous horror literature icon in its third season, it's been revealed.
With Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway), his monster (Rory Kinnear) and Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney) already featuring in the series, co-creator John Logan said a new name would be added going forward.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he confirmed: "I can tell you this - and this is such a tease, and I am sorry for it - but after two years I am finally adding another famous literary character.
"It's been fun going into another writer's brain and bringing one of those great characters back into our world."
Sky Atlantic and Showtime announced last month that the show would come back for a third outing in 2016.
Josh Hartnett, Eva Green and Timothy Dalton all star in the series, and a teaser for season 3 can be seen below.
