Ola Jordan is going under the knife to save her career.

The 32-year-old dancer, who is best known for appearing on the BBC reality show 'Strictly Come Dancing', suffered a potentially career-threatening injury to her knee while preparing for Channel 4's winter sports show 'The Jump' and has revealed she's set to undergo surgery in order to correct the problem.

She tweeted: "Had a good Physio session today. They said I'm ready for my operation on Tuesday.

"Fingers crossed everything goes well. Xxx"

The injury forced Ola to miss the final two weeks of group dances on 'Strictly' and a source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "It has been a very worrying time for Ola - the type of injury she suffered can be career threatening."

Ola's injury woes were compounded when her husband James Jordan, 36, collapsed over Christmas, complaining of chest and stomach pains caused by gallstones.

Although Ola was "shocked and distressed" when her husband fell to the ground, her injury meant she was unable to help him.

A source said: "Ola was absolutely heartbroken. She feared something horrible had happened to her husband.

"They decided that they should call an ambulance right away and James was rushed to hospital.

"James has been caring for Ola so she is now having to struggle without him."
