The 'Good Morning Britain' host has borrowed some equipment from the ITV breakfast show's set so he will be able to present the programme from his own office if he needs to amid the coronavius pandemic.

Sharing a snap of his daughter Elise, 11, in front of the camera, he wrote on Instagram: "Elise Morgan reporting live from her father's office, via the new self-isolation @gmb camera kit (should I need it..)."

The photo showed a huge TV - which can be used as a backdrop - behind a leather office chair, while another screen was place opposite so Piers would be able to see his guests and fellow broadcasters.

The 55-year-old host presents the show alongside Susanna Reid, who returned to the studio this week after staying home over concerns she could have been exposed to the virus.

Piers - who has Elise with current wife Celia Walden and sons Stanley, 26, Spencer, 22, and Albert, 19, with ex Marion Shalloe - has also revealed his youngest boy has shown "mild symptoms" of COVID-19.

He said: "One of my sons had it in a much milder way... My youngest boy.

"I think most people are associating [lack of taste and smell] that with the virus, it's a very unnerving thing to get..."

Speaking on Tuesday's (02.04.20) episode, Piers clarified he hasn't seen Albert "for three weeks before he presented with symptoms", adding that his won "was at his mum's".

The star has been very vocal about the UK government ordering people to stay inside to help prevent the spread of the illness.

He tweeted this week: "Already hearing people whine 'I can't cope with much more of this!' because they have to sit inside watching TV.

"The lockdown's lasted 8 days. World War 2 lasted 5 YEARS. So man up, show some gumption, & help others rather than wallow in pathetic self-pity."
