The Kaiser Chief's Ricky Wilson has joined 'The Voice' UK.

The 'I Predict A Riot' front man will be the replacement for Danny O'Donoghue - who quit earlier this year - as he joins Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Kylie Minogue on the panel after signing up to be a coach on the third series of BBC singing competition.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: "We've got pop, dance, rap and traditional stuff covered with the three we've already got.

"So there was a bit of a hole for a rocker. Danny filled that role for the first two years and now it will be Ricky's turn.

"He's outspoken, cares passionately about the music scene and basically has some balls."

Kylie was announced as the replacement for Jessie J - who left the show to focus on her music - earlier this week.

She said in a statement: "I'm very excited to become a coach on 'The Voice'. I love the concept of the show and have been an avid viewer of both series. The search for new talent is such an important aspect of the music industry and 'The Voice' gives us all a part to play in that. Will I be competitive? Probably more than even I imagine! Watch this space!"

'The Voice' will also undergo a schedule shake-up for its third series, launching in January 2014, three months earlier than the previous series' April premieres.
