The former 'Coronation Street' actor is reportedly set to pick up around £500,000 for appearing on the Channel 5 reality show and was keen to take part after his brother Adam competed on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' and his other sibling, Scott, appeared on 'Love Island'.

A source told the Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Ryan quit 'Corrie' because he wanted to make more money and reality TV is the way to do that.

"His brother Adam was on 'I'm A Celebrity...' and his other brother was on 'Love Island', so he knows exactly how lucrative it can be to get a spot on one of those kind of shows.

"There's talk of £500,000 as an appearance fee."

Ryan - who is dating former 'Only Way is Essex' star Lucy Mecklenburgh - could find himself sharing the house with 'TOWIE's Bobby Norris as it was previously claimed the show's superfan has also landed a place in the new series.

A source said: "It's been a long process to get here but the big bosses are thrilled he is on board.

"Bobby is a big star, he's outspoken, fun and makes brilliant TV. He also wears his heart on his sleeve and isn't afraid to show his emotions."

Former 'Love Island' contestant Gabby Allen is also rumoured to be taking part, but Ryan's former 'Corrie' co-star Sue Nicholls recently revealed she'd turned down the programme.

When asked if she could appear on 'CBB', the 74-year-old soap legend said: "Never. I couldn't do 'Big Brother'. I've told them 'No'.

"I don't even like people that much. I would be horrible - I would be the worst housemate."

And 'Birds of a Feather' actress Linda Robson also turned down the show because her family didn't want to take part.

She said: "You have to know your limits. My kids were traumatised when I mentioned it. I'd end up being like Ann Widdecombe - the joke one."
