Sharon Osbourne and Sam Bailey duetted last night.

The 'X Factor' judge took to the stage with her contestant to sing a karaoke rendition of Cher's 'The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)' at a local men's working pub in Leicester.

The former prison officer returned to her hometown ahead of the this week's 'X Factor' final, where she was reunited with her husband Craig and their two children Brook and Tommy.

Addressing the crowd after their performance, Sharon said: "I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support for Sam.

"Listen, Sam Bailey is going to put Leicester on the map. I hope you all have a very happy Christmas. The only thing Sam Bailey can give me is a platinum album."

Sam - who is the bookies favourite to win this year's show - will face stiff competition from Louis Walsh's acts, Luke Friend and Nicholas McDonald, with the winner receiving a UK record deal with Simon Cowell's music company SYCO.

Meanwhile, Sharon is already planning to launch the 36-year-old singer in America and has a string of advertising campaigns up her sleeve in a bid to boost her profile and land her a US record deal.

A source said earlier this week: "She [Sharon] wants to take her [Sam] on her American chat show 'The Talk', and says she will even help introduce her to music executives in the States."
