The 58-year-old ballroom expert will take her seat on the judging panel again when the show returns to BBC One on Saturday night (07.09.19) and she says there are some surprising celebrity and professional pairings.

In an interview on 'This Morning', she said: "Let me tell you it's the most unpredictable set of pairings I've ever seen on any show, particularly this one, in 15 years.

"Even I was sat there with Motsi and I thought this one will go with that one and it went this way. It's unpredictable and I've got a funny feeling that's how the whole of this series is going to be."

Shirley, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli will be joined on the panel by new judge Motsi Mabuse and her and the South African dancer have clicked with each other from the off.

Shirley shared: "She's beautiful on the inside as well as the outside and she knows her trade inside and out. We have the same sense of humour so we're on the same page. It just gels, it just clicks, it just works, it's beautiful."

Away from 'Strictly', Shirley is in a committed relationship with Danny Taylor, who she met while starring alongside him in pantomime 'Jack And The Beanstalk' last year, and she is head over heels in love with him.

'This Morning' host Phillip Schofield asked if "being so loved up will soften you up?"

Prompting Shirley to reply with a broad smile: "I will keep it professional. I will be doing my job well, as will everyone on the panel. Everyone will bring something unique and special. We're very, very excited about this series. The launch show is spectacular."
