The music mogul hasn't been around for filming in recent months after breaking his back after falling off an electric bike, but he will be back for next year's series finale, as he has teamed up with fundraising app Wishio for the special prize, which will allow one winner and a friend the chance to meet him and watch the 2021 finals from VIP seats.

Simon said: "I am asking you all to help a really important charity close to my heart, the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, which was introduced to me by my good friend, Leona Lewis.

"Anything you do donate will make a difference.”

To enter, fans simply need to download the Wishio app, watch Simon's video and donate however much they can afford.

Every donation - no matter what the monetary value - will be worth one entry, and 100 per cent of the money will go to the charity.

The sanctuary itself provides a safe home for over 500 animals on 53 acres in Essex, with the goal of positively changing the lives of animals that would otherwise have very different stories.

The organisation also looks to inspire others to become advocates for better animal welfare.

Wishio confirmed: "The lucky duo will get to watch the 'Britain’s Got Talent' 2021 finals from VIP seats and meet Simon himself, along with the rest of the iconic judge line up."

Simon is reportedly set to return to 'BGT' filming in January, after being replaced on this year's judging panel by Ashley Banjo.

A source recently said: "Simon was gutted at having to sit out the show this year. But he’s been totally focused on getting better and will definitely be back on the panel.

"He’s come on in leaps and bounds recently, thanks to letting his body heal, a healthy diet and some California sun.

"He’s also enjoyed being surrounded by his family. But he loves his job and is raring to go, especially as 'BGT' offers so much joy and light entertainment in dark times."
