Sophie Ellis-Bextor has injured her knee, and is in agony ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing final.

The 'Murder on the Dance Floor' singer fell down and bashed it while performing earlier in the series with dance partner Brendan Cole and she is still in a lot of pain.

She told The Sun newspaper: "My knee really hurts. I had to have physio on it three times last week.

"I hope I can go one more week. I'm sure I will because I'm enjoying myself so much."

Sophie, 34, is having regular physiotherapy sessions and is relying on Strictly's medical team to get her through the final.

The brunette beauty will be up against former 'Coronation Street' actress Natalie Gumede, BBC 'Breakfast' presenter Susanna Reid and lingerie model Abbey Clancy in the BBC One ballroom dancing contest this weekend.

Sophie - who is the only finalist so far not to have received full marks for one of her dances - has also praised dance partner Brendan, saying: "He's an excellent teacher."

The 'Strictly Come Dancing' final airs on Saturday (21.12.13) at 6:30pm on BBC One.
