Netflix has been dishing out some brilliant content this year, including the hugely successful movie Red Notice, starring Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson. This December (2021), however, sees The Hobbit actor Richard Armitage star in a new and exciting series...

Stay Close is set to land on the streaming platform later this month (December, 2021), and it already has an intense, thrilling story that will more than likely find itself in Netflix's top 10 most-watched pieces of content upon release.

The eight-episode series will be a story of gripping tension, exciting suspense, and the secrets of those who would rather keep their lives intact.

Four people each have a deep, dark secret that they keep hidden from those the love the most; Megan (Cush Jumbo) is a working mother of three, Ray (Armitage) is a former documentary photographer with great promise, Broome (James Nesbitt) is a detective who cannot leave a cold case alone, and Lorraine (Sarah Parish), who is an old friend of Megan’s.

The past, however, doesn’t appear to be done with the foursome just yet, as they are still tormented by the thought of their histories ruining not only their lives, but the lives of those closest to them; what will they do next?

Despite the fact that they all seem to be moving forward, Megan, Ray, Broome and Lorraine still can’t shake off the feeling of dread that looms over them, and it seems that shaking off their history won’t be as easy as they may like.

The trailer for Stay Close sees drama unfold and panic set in as the four main characters fight for the lives they have built. We see worry, dread and fear within the eyes of the characters, which perfectly lays the foundations for the series to come.

Stay Close seems to draw inspiration from the best parts of detective shows and crime series, as the fast-paced trailer give audiences plenty to be excited about. Not only that, but the show boasts an excellent cast that will be sure to add even more drama and suspense to what looks to be an incredible series.

Stay Close will premiere on Netflix on December 31st, 2021.
