Starring James Franco, Chris Cooper and Sarah Gadon amongst other big names, Stephen King's 11.22.63 premiered in the US this week and has now been given its UK home on FOX, debuting in Britain this April.

Based on the best-selling 2011 novel, the nine-hour miniseries combines J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions with executive producer and writer Bridget Carpenter, alongside King himself and Warner Bros Television. Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald, who directs and serves as executive producer on the two-hour series premiere.

Bryan Burk joins Abrams, King and Carpenter as executive producer on the show.

Franco stars as high school teacher Jake Epping who feels at a loss with his life and who wants to make a difference, doing something meaningful to change the world.

Cooper plays his ailing friend Al Templeton, with Jake then going back in time in an attempt to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Audiences will be taken into the world of 1960s Texas as Jake explores the mysteries surrounding the alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald (Daniel Webber). Facing threats not only from Oswald himself, but also from Sadie Dunhill (Sarah Gadon) and the past itself which doesn't wish to be changed, he'll face a violent push back from adversaries whilst also dealing with his growing love for Sadie.

An ensemble cast also includes Cherry Jones as Marguerite Oswald, Lucy Fry as Marina Oswald, George MacKay as Bill Turcotte, Leon Rippy as Harry Dunning, Kevin J. O'Connor as Yellow Card Man, T.R. Knight as Johnny Clayton, Jonny Coyne as George de Mohrenschildt, Brooklyn Sudano as Christy Epping, Josh Duhamel as Frank Dunning and Tonya Pinkins as Mimi Corcoran.

11.22.63 comes to FOX on Sunday, April 10 at 9pm.
