The 49-year-old star has been isolating after her son showed coronavirussymptoms, but she has now been reunited with co-presenter Piers Morgan following the two-week lockdown.

Appearing on Tuesday's show (31.03.20), Susanna - who did still appear on the show at times via video link - said: "I have to say it's good to be back. I had a slightly different co-presenter when I was at home broadcasting from the sofa, and presented with Sookie [her cat].

"A little quieter than normal proceedings, just sitting on my lap. Sorry, I'm not social distancing from the cat."

However, Susanna admitted she's concerned her family are still susceptible to catching the virus.

Piers responded: "None of you may have had the virus - this is the problem. Susanna and her sons might go out into the big wild world and one of them might get it."

Susanna - who has sons Sam, 18, Finn, 16, and Jack, 15, with her ex-partner Dominic Cotton - previously admitted she was "gripped with anxiety" when she realised she would have to self-isolate for 14 days and take her kids out of school after one of her kids developed potential coronavirus symptoms, and she believes there should be more testing available.

She said: "Gripped with anxiety, I realised my usual response of being stoic about illness and carrying on as normal was not the way forward. The thought of being a spreader filled me with fear.

"Once I had got over the initial shock that this was really happening, I started worrying about supplies.

"I want to find out for sure whether it's coronavirus, so we can put our minds at rest. Self-isolating when it might just be a cold is all right for me because I'll still get paid - but can everyone afford to take two weeks off work when their child has a cough and they don't?"
