The former 'EastEnders' actress was unmasked as Scarecrow on 'The Masked Dancer' on Saturday night (05.06.21), but the star admitted she rejected the opportunity to appear on the programme's sister show.

Speaking on 'Lorraine', she said: "It was crazy, it was bonkers.

"I loved 'The Masked Singer' and I was asked to do that, but it didn't feel like the right thing to do.

"But when it was dancing it felt like, 'Oh, I could really get into that.'

"I used to dance, but I haven't for years, so for me it was a bit of, 'Let's see if I can still do it.' "

While the contestants weren't able to see who the others were during filming, the 50-year-old star tried her best to figure out the masked celebrities' identities.

She said: "You are dressed in SAS gear to get into the building.

"I was quite naughty. When we were rehearsing for the group dances I was looking around me all the time.

"I was looking around. I was learning the dances, but I was sneakily trying to catch looks behind visors and things, but I still didn't know one person."

Car Wash, who was unmasked as Louis Smith, won the series on Saturday, and the Olympic gymnast admitted the only time he could only see out of his outfit was if he squinted "really hard".

Speaking on 'Good Morning Britain', he said: "It's very toasty in there. It was very difficult - you're breathing in all your own hot air, sweating, crying.

"Obviously, you can't see that.

"You can't see anything, it's hard to hear things.

"It's tough. You have to squint really hard. So you need to be aware of the edge of the stages, where the other dancers are."
