The 'Thor: The Dark World' star will read Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet’s ‘Supertato’ on Friday 25th June, which will no doubt be a delight for superhero fans, as the story tells the tale of a superhero potato and a supervillain pea.

'Loki' actor Tom opens the story by telling viewers: “Tonight’s bedtime story is all about a supervillain. This guy is really naughty, very cheeky … and bright green. But never fear, because where there’s trouble, a superhero is sure to follow.”

The 40-year-old star is not the only Marvel actor to appear on the CBeebies sofa as 'Captain America' actor Chris Evans read 'Even Superheroes Have Bad Days' by Shelley Becker in 2017.

Other stars who have also read a CBeebies Bedtime Story this year include singer Rag'n'Bone Man, 'Strictly Come Dancing' pro dancer Oti Mabuse, and actors Tom Hardy, Felicity Jones, Chris O'Dowd, and Tom Ellis.

What's more, Cat Deeley is set to read a book for a special Father's Day episode (20.06.21).

The 'So You Think You Can Dance' presenter will read Sophie Beer’s ‘Love Makes A Family’, which tells the story about the love shared by family members.

It comes after 'Bridgerton' actor Rege-Jean Page read 'Rain Before Rainbows' by Smriti Halls and David Litchfield in a special Mother's Day episode earlier this year.

He told the story of a girl and her companion fox, who look to find brighter days with the help of their friends after they've been struggling through a difficult time.
