Following Wednesday's (17.05.17) episode, which saw Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) verbally abuse Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), Vicky hinted she could make a return to Weatherfield to lend a hand to her on-screen daughter.

She tweeted: "Think I may have to take you in hand lad."

Vicky and on-screen husband Les Battersby (Bruce Jones) first joined the soap back in 1997 when their alter egos arrived as a new family on the street alongside stroppy teenager Leanne, who rejoined the cast in 2004.

The other Battersby daughter, Toyah (Georgia Taylor) reprised her role on the ITV soap recently after 13 years away from the cobbles and just last week didn't rule out the possibility that Bruce, 64, and Vicky, 48, may be rejoining the cast.

Speaking on ITV's 'This Morning', Georgia said: "I don't know, not at the moment, we are just focusing on the relationship of the sisters and what's going to happen with them but we'll wait and see."

Georgia's character has made waves since her Christmas Day arrival after it was revealed she is having an affair with Leanne's ex-husband Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).

In 2015, a petition was launched to bring Bruce's Status Quo-loving character back to 'Coronation Street' after the character left to work as a roadie in 2007.

Meanwhile, the soap saw Janice say goodbye to Weatherfield to go travelling the world in 2011 with her boyfriend Trevor Dean.

The Battersbys have a history of making life difficult for many neighbours including Curly Watts, Martin Platt, Ken Barlow, Spider Nugent and Percy Sugden, who was so scared of Les that he moved to a retirement complex.
