Will.i.am says "golden child" Leah McFall will give 'The Voice' its first global superstar.

The 23-year-old singer is joined by Mike Ward, Andrea Begley and Matt Henry in the final of the TV singing contest tonight (22.06.13) and her mentor has predicted she will have a big future.

He told The Sun newspaper: "There's something new in the universe. Remember like the golden child ... The second coming.

"Out of every single person that I've seen from last year to this year, Leah is the best artist.

"She's quirky, she's unique. There have been great signers but she has the greater shot to have a career."

The Black Eyed Peas star and his fellow judges are rallying behind this year's finalists after previous winner Leanne Mitchell flopped after her debut album sold less than 900 copies during its first week of release last month.

Now the 37-year-old rapper has spoken out in the hope tonight's winner will go on to become a genuine star and suggested he would quite the show if he failed to help them.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: "This show renders itself pointless if it can't identify something that's going to be on the radio.

"Everyone should be scrambling to get the winner on the radio because that's what the promise is.

"I take this seriously. If I can't make all my colleagues dizzy about what I'm passionate about, I shouldn't be doing this show."
