The former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star was the first of sixteen celebrities to step into the unfurnished abode and was met by the sight of locked crates, which contained the group's sofas, chairs and beds.

In an interview with host Emma Willis just before she entered the house, she shared: "I can't wait to get in there. I can't wait to see whose in the house.

"Let's face it, I'm not exactly GI Jane but at the end of the day, I'm coming in here - 2016, fresh start."

Meanwhile, following the arrival of the first eight housemates - which included Danniella Westbrook and Christopher Maloney - Big Brother asked the contestants to elect the most decisive person to be spokesperson for the group. 'EastEnders' star John Partridge volunteered and had the tough decision of choosing which two housemates should be chosen to live in a box on basic rations.

Ever the gentlemen, John elected himself first and then chose Darren Day after he volunteered to be locked away, too.

From inside the locked box, the pair were then asked to decide whose suitcases should be locked away, settling on Christopher, Winston McKenzie and Danniella, who are now without their personal belongings.

Then it was the turn of the other eight housemates to arrive, with notable entries including Nancy, David and Kim Kardashian West's best friend Jonathan Cheban.

Once all the housemates had got acquainted, they were gathered round the dining table where Big Brother had another shock twist in store for them.

The two separated stars - John and Darren - were asked to decide whether they wanted to gorge on luxury food or to open the kitchen for the 14 other celebrities to enjoy a feast fit for a king or queen.

'Celebrity Big Brother' continues on Channel 5 tomorrow night (06.01.15).
