Gregg Wallace calls himself the "fat dad" of this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The presenter is slimmer now than he's been in recent years due to training with professional partner Aliona Vilani, but admits he still has a belly and fells self-conscious around the show's hunkier members, including Thom Evans.

Writing in his Daily Telegraph column he said: "I was pleased with my outfit of sparkly trousers and nice waistcoat, until I walked out of the dressing room and saw Thom Evans in trousers four times tighter than mine and a shirt slashed to the waist.

"I had to slink off, crestfallen. I'm not the hot young thing; I'm the fat dad."

He also revealed that his 17-year-old daughter Libby is refusing to watch him on the show, and his girlfriend Anna-Marie could get jealous "seeing me with my arms around another woman".

He continued: "I know 'Strictly...' has spawned romances galore, but I absolutely love my Anna and can safely say there is not that sort of chemistry between me and my professional partner, Aliona Vilani."
