Ola and James Jordan

Ola and James Jordan

James Jordan doesn't think his wife Ola has any chance of winning this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.

After being axed himself from the show last year, some thought his wife would follow but she's currently competing with presenter Steve Backshall, who James thinks doesn't stand up against the competition.

Speaking at London's Roundhouse for the SeriousFun Children's Network Gala, James said to BANG Showbiz: "Frankie's [Frankie Bridge] going to win obviously. I think Frankie will win but, yeah, it would be great if Ola won."

He did have some words of encouragement for Steve though, who he thinks is doing really well despite the previous dance experience of some of the contestants.

"You know what, he seems really likeable which is great and he seems like he's a trier and, for me, that's what Strictly's about.

"Of course you're always going to have people on the show who have had previous dance training and he's obviously had none and I think he's doing a good job for quite a big guy."

Meanwhile, Ola has responded to his claims saying she needs "to prove him wrong then don't I? I would love to be the first dancer to win it for a second time."
