Simon Webbe wishes he could spend his time on Strictly Come Dancing competing against one of his Blue bandmates.

He insists that whilst he's still enjoying the whole process, he would have loved Duncan James, Antony Costa or Lee Ryan to join him on the BBC One dance competition.

Speaking to new! magazine he explained: "They would all love to do Strictly. It would have been great if one of them was doing it with me as that kind of competition would be amazing."

The singer also said that his experience dancing during gigs with his bandmates didn't at all prepare him for the difficulty of Strictly.

"Oh my God, yes, it's much tougher. Being in Blue is part of my make-up now. I have spent years with my brothers and it is in our blood.

"Strictly is out of my comfort zone, but it's a massive privilege to be part of it."

Simon's also looking forward to his teenage daughter Alanah coming along to the show to watch her father perform.

"I am hoping she and her mother will come watch me in the next week or so. We've remained the best of friends and they have both told me to go out there and show everybody what I can do."
