The 'Xtra Factor' co-hosts don't fancy their chances on the panel of the talent show and wouldn't want to be in Simon Cowell, Rita Ora, Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's shoes because they have get to have such a "laugh" with all the contestants instead of telling them whether they're good or bad.

Speaking at the Pride of Britain Awards at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, Rochelle, 26, confessed: "We meet them before the judges do and we spend the day with them, or a couple of days. If I know at the audition stage ... Even if we know that they're not great singers we're like, 'But they're nice people!' We'd be terrible judges, the pair of us.

"Honestly I couldn't do it. We're just there to play a few games and have a laugh."

Meanwhile, KISS FM DJ Melvin, 35, has praised the "talent" on this year's show.

He said: " We're there to essentially support everyone. But the talent is through the roof this year."
