The lovable couple are set to see their world crumble before their eyes when they're informed their little boy Ollie has a brain haemorrhage following a brutal blow to the head - likely linked to falling out of his high chair following a family fight last week - and may be left with permanent issues.

Kellie Bright - who portrays pub landlord Linda - explained: "By their nature, accidents are the sort of things that pull the rug out from under you.

"Everything is fine until suddenly your whole life changes in a heartbeat. It's a lot to come to terms with, and you have to wonder how Linda will cope with it all. It's a story that will keep developing. The initial impact is one thing, but the repercussions could go on forever and ever."

The drama unfolds upstairs in the Queen Vic when the pair discover little Ollie lifeless in his cot but, as her maternal instincts kick in, Linda does all she can to resuscitate her baby before he suffers a life-changing seizure and is whisked by ambulance to hospital for emergency care.

Kellie told InsideSoap magazine: "Mick and Linda are both terrified. However, the fact Ollie is breathing again is a relief - he's in safe hands now and they think he'd going to be fine. They have no idea of the severity of what's to come, though ...

"Then the next wave of information comes about the brain damage and they realise Ollie might not get better."

But they're then struck another debilitating blow as the doctors inform Mick and Linda that the hospital is obliged to contact children's service due to the extent of OIllie's injuries.

The police interrogate the family over Ollie's tumble and blame is tossed back and forth, but Mick (Danny Dyer) can't help but blame his daughter Nancy (Maddie Hill) for starting the fight with her brother Lee (Danny-Boy Hatchard) on Mother's Day, which ultimately led to the baby boy falling out of his chair and smashing his delicate head.
