Bob (Tony Audenshaw) worries for Viv (Deena Payne) when she starts having nightmares about Freddie. Further doubts surface when Viv takes to distributing e-fits of Freddie door-to-door but he reluctantly agrees to help out. In search of Freddie a desperate Viv accosts a stranger thinking it is him. The stranger is about to call the police, but Bob’s desperation persuades him to back off. However, Viv is mortified to see Donna (Verity Rushworth) turn up later to reprimand her after Bob fills her in. Is Viv running out of time?

Elsewhere Shadrach (Andy Devine) is surprised to find Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) and Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) at the door. Brenda apologises for getting off on the wrong foot and asserts that they have always vowed to not get in the way of their daughter getting to know her biological family so will keep their promise. After settling down to see baby photos of Gennie, the Dingles persuade Brenda and Gennie to stay for dinner. Can Shadrach finally be the father to Gennie he never got the chance to be?

Meanwhile Katie (Sammy Winward) is disappointed when Jonny (Richard Grieve) sides with Perdy (Georgia Slowe) and says he can’t go to the engagement party. The day worsens when Chas (Lucy Pargeter) cancels to have dinner with the Dingles and the guest list sinks to zero when Donna and Marlon (Mark Charnock) do likewise. Are Katie and Gray (Christopher Villiers) alone in celebrating their good news?
