After returning from Beth’s funeral in Adelaide, Matilda is having a hard time accepting her mother’s death, and the discovery of a parcel Beth sent from Europe sends her over the edge. Taking time out at the beach, Matilda is too distraught to notice the waves closing in on the rock on which she is perched she’s stranded! When Jules and Lily, who are still seeing each other despite Cassie’s concerns, spot Matilda from the beach, they rush to help her. However, Jules suddenly freezes with panic and Lily must take over the rescue mission... but it is not long before she too is in trouble. Ric arrives on the scene and sends Jules to get help while he swims out to rescue the girls. Forced to save them one at a time, Ric is horrified to notice Lily suddenly floating face-down... will she survive? While drama unfolds at the beach, Kelli is entertaining herself by subjecting poor Amanda to yet another evil plan. With Amanda distraught since Ryan was taken away from her, Kelli has offered to cover at the gym while Tony and Kim have been away but it is not long before she causes trouble. Jon, a customer, has injured himself on a machine thanks to Kelli’s inadequate training, and is now threatening to sue the gym. Amanda is horrified as the gym insurance has recently expired, but Kelli offers her a way out. If she signs the gym over to Kelli, Amanda will be declared bankrupt and avoid a huge lawsuit. But what Amanda does not know is that the ‘accident’ was faked merely part of Kelli’s latest plan to destroy her sister... Elsewhere, Martha is beginning to question whether she should really be with Cam after he fails to defend her from a lecherous client. Jack is pleased to see the old Martha resurfacing, but when Cam tells Martha that he has fallen in love with her, she begins to reconsider.

When Cam is later assaulted by loan sharks, Martha cannot bear the thought of him being hurt again and decides to stay. Is she doing the right thing? Also this week, Kelli and Ethan’s plan is almost exposed when Amanda nearly catches them in a compromising situation.

Jules reveals the truth about his past when he tells Drew why he froze at the beach. Rachel is bothered by Kit and Kim’s growing closeness. And a grief-stricken Tony falls deeper into depression as he struggles to cope with losing Beth.
