Here, dear reader, is the golden rule of snooping: if you don't want to find anything incriminating then don't flippin' look for it in the first place. Lucas would have done well to heed this advice. However, he now knows that his dad slept with his number one crush and recent conquest - and his hump gets even bigger when he realises that Ric knew all about it. "I found out by accident", Ric insists. "I didn't want to lie to you, but I knew how devastated you'd be." By this time, Lucas has his dander well and truly up. He decides that his father ought to be the one bearing the brunt of his anger. Meanwhile, Tony asks Naomi if she saw his note - but obviously she didn't. He apologises for lashing out. "It's all getting a bit messy, isn't it?" Naomi sighs. Welcome to Summer Bay, love...Girls and boys"If I ever even think about giving him another chance, can you please just lock me up until I come to my senses?" As Cassie spits out these words, Sally unconsciously begins to rummage in her handbag for her keys. We all suspect that she'll be back in Jules's arms before the week is out, but there's no one more convinced of this than the man himself. He persuades Drew to throw an 18th birthday party; after all, this will give them the opportunities they need to get their girls. However, after Brad has a word about Drew's pitiful grades, Dan decides to put the kibosh on things. This won't stop them enjoying themselves, though, as the party venue swiftly relocated to the beach. Will they be able to keep their knees-up a secret?

Daddy cruel

Back in school, Lucas kicks off his goody two shoes and puts on some bovver boots. His belligerent attitude promptly gets him sent out of class, so he decides to spend his afternoon haunting Tony at the gym instead.

"The first woman that came along and you couldn't wait to jump into bed with her", he snipes. "I just needed someone to talk to", Tony whines. The thrusty kind of talking, Tone? Well, Lucas is not impressed. "You are a pathetic joke!" he roars. (If lambs could roar.)

"And if Beth knew about this she'd think so too." He then decides to spill the beans at a family dinner, leaving Kit and Mattie in a similar frame of mind. "Here's to my dad and Miss Preston", Lucas trumpets, as Mattie dishes out the kind of look usually reserved for kitten-murderers and Chris de Burgh fans.
