It's Geoff and Annie's first day at Summer Bay High, and Sally's giving the pair the grand tour. It's pretty much what you'd expect, with the exception of Lucas's less-than-welcoming initiation procedure: confront your new enemy, in this case Geoff, over his love of "honesty is the best policy"; throw him against the lockers; grapple him to the floor, and hey presto! Mind you, it's also enough to land him an unusual punishment: Sally orders Lucas – for he's proved himself such a shining example of responsibility, after all – to give Annie extra tuition to help her overcome her learning disability. Annie's glad of the help, but Geoff is left fuming about just what else Lucas may be tempted to teach her...Without a traceIt turns out that the word "ultimatum" is somewhat new to Rachel and Kim – or, at the very least, the concept that you can't have your cake and eat it, so to speak – as evidenced by the fact that, after all that's happened, they seem surprised to find that both Hugh and Kit are living up to their promises. First, Rachel finds out the hard way – from Martha, that is – that Hugh wants nothing to do with her any more; he doesn't even want her to have his forwarding address now that he's gone. So, cutting her losses, and trying to stay positive, Rachel plans a romantic meal with Kim in the hope of going some way towards repairing their marriage; an evening which sees Kim himself find out that Kit's "deadline" for leaving the Bay was far from an empty threat. But, unlike Hugh, she's left a note in her wake: "Kim, if you really wanted to be with us, it wouldn't be so hard for you to make a decision. So I made one instead..." Well, somebody had to. Has Kim really lost her for good, though? Stringing them along?Feeling increasingly isolated from his family after the dramas with Naomi, and still devastated by the loss of Beth, it looks like Tony has opted to find comfort in just about everything female.

Yes, Martha's witnessed a few attractive women leaving the bar with him over the course of a week and is only too quick to let Jack know about it (at least she's talking to him now, then).

A shocked Jack tries to set Tony onto the straight and narrow by telling him to rebuild his relationship with Lucas before it's too late and he does something he regrets. Fortunately, this is advice which he chooses to follow – it was only a matter of time before he ran out of women, anyway.

"I just think I may have taken the 'giving you more space' thing a little too far," Tony later says to Lucas, who seems glad of the admission. But it's early days yet.
