‘I’ve been waiting for you. Why did it take you so long?’ Jack asks Martha, who hasn’t failed to notice that he’s talking as if he they were still a couple – and, given that he goes on to ask her why she’s not wearing her wedding ring, a married one at that. Despite Lewis reassuring her that Jack’s memory loss will only be temporary, Martha is distraught. How would Sam react if she knew whom her fiancé was asking for when he woke up? While Tony tries his best to convince Jack that, for Sam’s sake, he should give it time before revealing what he believes are genuine feelings for his ex, Martha herself tries to get past it all by enlisting Morag’s help in pushing the divorce through. When she later returns to the hospital, it’s clear that she intends to say goodbye to Jack for good: she not only reminds Sam that it’s now time to register her and Jack’s intent to marry but also sets her mind at ease by answering her questions about his waking moments. ‘He asked for you. He wanted to know where you were,’ Martha says, before making a tearful return to Michael.Failure to launchMeanwhile, Drew and Belle have started out on their road trip and, after a romantic night camping beneath the stars, prepare themselves for another adventure – although, unfortunately, not of the kind they were expecting. With Belle wanting to cut short their trip as soon as she receives word that she’s been offered a coveted photography cadetship, an already tense situation becomes so much worse when, thanks to Drew cutting a few corners when it came to getting the car ready in time, a broken petrol gauge leaves them stranded in the middle of nowhere without any fuel. The pair remain on talking terms long enough to see them hitch a lift to the petrol station, where Belle soon comes to regret taking a break to go and freshen up: she finally comes face to face with Dom, who’s been following them for their entire journey. But will he let her escape?
