Adam has decided to do some private investigation of the Gus Cleary case, to Paul’s grim satisfaction. But, given that the police still officially believe that there is no evidence linking Paul to the crime, Elle is fearful that Adam will reverse this. Determined to achieve atonement, Paul proposes tracking down Gus’s sister Laura and Elle promises to assist – provided he starts discouraging Adam by letting him think that he’s delusional. Paul reluctantly agrees, although he doesn’t like it. Elle manages to unearth Gus’s sister thanks to the help of Riley’s editor at the Erinsborough News. Armed with the address, Paul faces the family of the man he believes he murdered...Oliver is shocked to be served a writ from his AWOL brother Sebastian/Will contesting his stake in the Barnes empire. Oliver vows he’d rather sell everything off than give in to his flaky brother’s spite and hastily arranges a Prospectus of Sale. But when Rebecca accidentally sends this document to Will’s lawyer Tim, Tim is able to freeze all of Oliver’s assets. Rebecca’s mistake causes her to admit she’s out of her depth and she walks away from her trial period for the office assistant job.Important pre-exam test results are in for the Year Tens – and the news is bad for Declan and Ringo. Ringo lies to Rachel about his grim results and Rachel’s concern grows as Ringo shuts her out. Meanwhile Declan and Bridget continue to challenge each other – resulting in a riled up, unlicensed Declan offering Bridget an illegal joyride in his car. Thankfully, the stern disapproval of Bridget’s moral friends causes her to come to her senses… for now.
