The 'EastEnders' actress is set to compete on the upcoming series of the BBC One dance contest and has admitted Danny - who plays her husband Mick Carter on the soap - is jealous of her getting up close and personal with the hunky professional dancers.

The 39-year-old star - who is married to fellow actor Paul Stocker - said: "He's not very pleased that I'm going to be dancing with someone day in and day out. He's not very happy about that. I'm like, 'You're not even my real husband!' "

However, despite Danny's hesitation at allowing his on-screen wife to appear on the show, Kellie - who plays Queen Vic landlady Linda Carter - insisted he'll be cheering her on from the sidelines.

Asked if she's worried about him winding her up when he comes to see her dance, Kellie said: "No, do you know what? He's like my best friend, Danny, so he's going to be one of the biggest supports and I know that he'll be championing me completely. It's a lovely thing actually."

But the blonde beauty can't see the 'Football Factory' star signing up for the show himself any time soon.

She added: "I danced with him on 'Children in Need', he's useless. No he's alright, it's just not him. It's so far out of his comfort zone doing anything like that."

'Strictly Come Dancing' launches on Saturday (05.09.15) at 6.30pm on BBC One.
