The 28-year-old soap star - who worked in a crisp factory before finding fame on the ITV soap - joined 'Emmerdale' two years ago as one of the notorious Barton brothers Ross, and said he loves the laughs and real life antics they get up to during filming.

He said: "It literally couldn't be any more fun being on set with all the brothers, especially when we're all together at once. We tend to get a bit giddy or a little carried away when that happens.

"Kelvin Fletcher [Andy Sugden] loves making mischief - just before you're going for a take. he'll say something that puts a smile on your face, and you're thinking, 'Damn it, I'm meant to be serious here!' Kelvin's really funny - he's got the best banter in the whole cast.

In an interview with Inside Soap magazine the 28-year-old actor joked that even in the most intense scenes, anything can happen.

He said: "One particular moment springs to mind. It was for the episode where Charley Webb [Debbie Dingle] and I were running out of the hotel to get away from the gangster, Charlie. I'd been bombing it upstairs to escape from all the baddies who were chasing us, and during one of the takes I ended up with the biggest tear down my backside, all the way through my trouser legs. You could see my boxer shorts!"
