Gillian Wright, who played Stacey Slater's mum Jean for eight years before quitting the BBC One soap in 2013, is set to reprise her role for her character's upcoming wedding to boyfriend Ollie Walters, the Daily Mirror newspaper reports.

Ollie has stood by Jean through thick and thin despite having to come to terms with her struggle with bipolar disorder.

And now viewers will reportedly see her get her happy ever after as new images show a beaming Jean in a bride-to-be t-shirt as she prepares to get ready for her big day alongside her daughter Stacey (Lacey Turner) and granddaughter Lily (Aine Garvey), who sources say will be her bridesmaid.

Other 'EastEnders' characters spotted filming for the big day were Stacey's new flatmate Martin Fowler (James Bye) and Shirley Carter (Linda Henry).

Jean and Ollie drove off into the sunset in 2013 following Gillian's decision to quit and were said to have left east London's Walford behind for a new life in Brighton.

Meanwhile, it was recently suggested that Jean's son Sean (Robert Kazinsky) could too be set for a return to the soap after his sister Stacey was seen talking to him via video chat.

It was also claimed that Sean could be Kat Moon's long lost son after it was revealed it wasn't just her estranged daughter Zoe that she gave birth to in a nunnery as a teenager.
