Television presenter Laura Hamilton is currently participating in Channel 4's new extreme winter sports show 'The Jump'.

We got the chance to chat to her about the show, what we can expect from her if she has to compete in the 'jump-off' and if there are any tensions behind the scenes.

How are you finding the whole 'Jump' experience so far?

It really is incredible learning amazing winter sports I have never tried before and being taught by the best.

How much effort do you have to put into your training?

We train every day in a different discipline, then we have the live show every night. That combined with looking after my 11 week old baby is pretty challenging.

You finished in third place in your first challenge - how did that feel?

I was very, very happy. I hated the skeleton! Ultimately as long as you aren't in the bottom two it doesn't matter where you finish.

How's the chemistry between everyone?

We are all extremely supportive of each other. We have achieved some incredible things being part of the show and are all really proud of each other.

Has there been any behind the scenes drama?

We are all too focused on making sure we don't get hurt to worry about anything else. A couple of people have already been hurt so it's a little scary.

If you have to take on the ski jump, which height will you be jumping from?

It will all depend on how I feel on the night. I'm usually pretty fearless but it is seriously scary sitting on the bar before you jump. You can feel your heart pounding.

Have you got any bumps or bruises due to training?

For sure. I have a terrible bruise on my arm from the bobsleigh as well as all over my leg but so far it's just bruises. Fingers crossed Its nothing more.

Which challenge do you think will be your best, and which do you think will be your worst?

I love speed skiing so hopefully I will do well in that. I hated skeleton so I'm glad that is done with!
