Google Translate has been sending out ominous, apocalyptic translations.

If a user mispells words - or something as simple as the wod 'dog' repeatedly - the online tool has been showing bizarre and scary messages.

One such translation read: ''Doomsday Clock is three minutes at twelve We are experiencing characters and a dramatic developments in the world, which indicate that we are increasingly approaching the end times and Jesus' return.''

The company is working to make the weird translations disappear after they've been discovered, but fans are still finding some strange messages.

If a user types the words ''are you self aware?'' with a slight mispelling, the translation is: ''There are some things you do.''

In a slighty more terrifying instance, a misspelled version of ''please let me die'' gets the glitched response: ''As you please.''

The Register has suggested that the new AI system could be behind the issues, with the programme posisbly ''trained'' using passages from the Bible.

It's not that the translations tend to appear with obscure languages because the programme doesn't have any many translations to work with.
