The unnamed user took to Reddit to reveal that her sister's husband had penned a disturbing book about her, which was based on the Gillian Flynn novel 'Gone Girl' - which follows Nick Dunne as he becomes the primary suspect in the sudden disappearance of his wife Amy.

She wrote: ''The book... is about us. It's a 'domestic thriller' (so think Gone Girl, You, etc.) about a man who realises he has married the 'wrong sister' and becomes obsessed with his sister-in-law.

''It's one of the weirdest things I have ever seen. It doesn't exactly read like a manifesto, but aspects of the story were deeply unsettling to me personally (touching on things that happened to me in high school).''

The user also went on to explain that she used to date her sister's husband before the relationship ended badly, and subsequently went on to marry her sister.
