Supernatural

Supernatural

The story follows two brothers as they travel around the US in search of paranormal activity. Odd, you're think. well, so did I. When I first spotted the first season, my immediate reaction was, yet another show about the supernatural, following Angel and Buffy etc'

Though Supernatural is a show that has a lot of borrowed elements, featuring paranormal/supernatural elements similar to those used in  Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Charmed. It even uses sibling love/hate relationship of One Tree Hill. However, despite having a lot of what we've seen before, Supernatural actually is really good.

The show revolves around two brothers, Dean (Jensen Ackles) Sam (Jared Padalecki) who's mother was killed by an evil being when the were very young.. Ever since then, their father has been hunting ghosts, hoping to find and destroy the spirit that killed his wife. their father himself dies in season two.

Season Four
In the first episode of the season, Lazarus Rising, Dean came back from Hell. That was traumatising all on its own, I’m sure, but he also has all these complex feelings and memories or lack of to deal with, about Hell and about why he’s back. Who released him and for what purpose is more or less the question.

At the same time, we find out that Sam didn’t exactly keep his promise to Dean about not training his special abilities. But, will bad things come of that? Cause we don’t know yet.

Season 4 has everything a fan/viewer could possibly want, it is presented in a well-written, well director and well acted package, the first episode of Supernatural season 4 left me sitting on the edge of my seat wanting more, needing to see more.

Supernatural has delivered again the first 2 episodes were not just about saving people (very little of that, actually), but about complex mythology and emotions. This continues into episodes 3 and 4 always we are left wondering has Sam taken the step to far dicing with his undoubted dark side, did Dean do more in hell than he will admit to even himself.

Then there are the Archangels, Lileth, and Sams demon partner...where do they all fit in the scheme.

The whole series heads towards Armaggedon as Lileth continues to break the seals preventing Lucifer from returning to the world, the Season culminates in the final episode Lucifer Rising...  you will not be able to miss.

Season 4 delivers building the suspense increasing the tempo, injecting doubt the cliffhanger ending leaves viewers on the edge of their seats wanting season five.
