Hugemongous rocks, there was dust all around and in minutes she was bellowing coughs, grasping for air as if her windpipe was choking on smoke.

Pat was a stout young lady in her late twenties, very pretty with a straight nose and bow legs and not very tall with piercing blue eyes and a pleasant face.

She was persuing a career in Archaeology and this was her first school trip, she was the first in the building, others were trying to catch up. As she began to dust away and examine, she saw a piled of books entitled ancient Greece others were Tianos in the Caribbean, philosophy and mystery books. which was rather intriguing as Pat enjoyed these types of books and it was also fascinating to pat how the rocks and the wooden building were compact and combined to make one of the most architectural design since Michelangelo painting of the Sistine chapel ceiling.

As she was stunned in amazement at which she thought was a great mystery, immediately she heard, slow silent foot steps and deep breathing

And there the sound emerging got louder and a from a quite melodious voice she heard,

“Pat! What did you find”?

She turned with a smile, still observing and a sigh of relief. As each student took out their magnifying glass and note pad.

Their teacher Mr.Anderson.he was a very tall man with a handsome face, well cut beard and tender looking eyes and he was in his early forties, although looking a lot younger as if he could be a student. He began to critique the building and the rocks, he spoke, and “Do you see these fragments”?

We began to smile as he tries to impress us with his intellectual acquisition of historical Knowledge.

Pat had glanced at him, and she wondered what was so glorious that made his face light up like a pepper light tree

He beckoned to us, he began to give detailed analysis like a long thesis of historical artifacts dating it back to Tianos days and explaining the wooden structure and also carvings were observed on the wall which he tried to decipher as if it was an anagram or some unknown language.

Immediately I remembered the books I came a crossed also realizing that those books must have been placed there and so they were not the first and someone

Else occupied the place.

“Pat! Are you here”?

“Yes sir”.

I guess he saw that I was deep in thought.

I said, “Sir there are books over here that might help us as the others strolled he was more anxious”, I could hear his footsteps pounding as the rate of my heart.

He said,

“So where these books came from”?

“I replied, not sure Sir”.

He then said, “We should be careful as pirates may be here in search of treasure”.

As most of us grew restless and hungry we had carry snacks and lunch and our camp equipments, as I was about to eat my bacon sandwich, there came Jenny.

Jenny was a fat girl with fat cheeks and nice dimples, very pretty girl with long Indian hair with a Jamaican ascent. As she approached me, she said,

“Can I sit beside you”?

“I quickly replied, sure why not”.

She sat down and began eating her national dish, Ackee and salt fish with some boiled banana and Irish Potato, it looked delicious.

She took a bite and drank some cranberry juice then she looked up and said,

“You know this trip might teach me a lot especially about Tianos as I know they were in Jamaica, I might share what I learn with others”.

As I looked up and said,” that’s a good idea”.

Immediately I heard Mr. Anderson telling us to finish up as we should get some rest and so tomorrow we would have an adventure.

Our eyes soon grew restlessly and in minutes we were fast asleep. As the time grew darker I rolled so many times as I was dreaming of adventure and I dreamt of pirates and gold and diamonds, I couldn’t wait for morning I was practical half asleep and half awaken.

I could hear showers of rain pouring immensely, but we were secure and then I felt the warmth breeze which hypnotize me and led me in a trance.

As I woke up, everyone was already having break fast. I yawned and some were still wrapped cozy fast asleep. I went outside to try to wash the sleep out of my eyes and then I went and ate my breakfast.

When everyone was awake, Mr.Anderson told us we would walk in the forest as the old wooden building had a bridge. When we began touring, it was amazing how the trees were dancing and I could see that they were glad to see us. They were magnificently green and notorious in there structure. We could stay from the bridge and look down, it looked rather steep and I felt scared.

Frighteningly I almost screamed, when I felt the clenched hand shaking with nervousness and I was in fear, it was Jenny.

She said, “I was scared”.

Then in a minute I was calm, looking at her as she held tightly with a solid grip. We were coming to the end of the bridge and finally going in the forest, there we say monkeys and snakes. It was rather scary and also we left trails so we would know the way back. The walk was interesting as we came up on a river and there we saw fishes jumping in and out as if they were happy to see us. The water was so pretty that’s where we took a break by that time, Jenny had free my hand. As we began to walk again and see more animals and beautiful trees and mushrooms.

As we were walking we came up on a cave filled with bats and there we saw the most beautiful, it was glistering and in adorance we stared, it was Diamonds. I never saw nothing like it. They were embedded in the rocks of the cave and we went further, it was very dark. I could hear whispers and pounding footsteps and so we stood still in fear holding breaths. as we came nearer to the end of the cave to our surprise, it seems a ship was trapped and immediately two men in white coats one wore glasses and geeky and the other was in my age group very shady and we were looking at them they turned as if they could discern the piecing eyes surveying them and they looked at us and waved.

Mr. Anderson shouted,” Hi we are aspiring Archaeologists”.

The one with the glasses replied, “oh we are scientist studying we were in the old wooden building”.

My teacher shouted I realized there were books, the shouting was rather annoying. So Mr. Anderson began stepping at great speed and we followed to join the men. We went up on the ship. As we entered we all shake hands, they introduced themselves.

The one with the glasses said, “I am Ron and this is my associate”, Chris he smiled, I started to get red, blushing I liked Chris and I guess he did too. My teacher was so excited but we were rather exhausted, mr.Anderson and Ron were like a wireless radio constant talking.

Surprisingly Chris came up to me he said, hi, How are you?

I said,”fine just admiring the rocks and the fine diamonds”.

He chuckled oh yea; well those would be carried to the museum in New York.

I asked him how long he would be staying,

He replied,”three more days”.

I told him tomorrow was my last. His face stopped glowing and he held his head down, then he slowly lifted and said, “I was hoping to show you around”.

Then I replied, “Probably next time”. Then immediately, Mr.anderson told us we were ready as it was getting late.

We began following the path that we had left trails. Bread crumbs.

The forest was very dark and intensely scary as tress formed out many images.suddenly, we heard running the forest was erupted, noise from birds, the swaying of tress in the dark. We saw fierce piercing eyes staring right at us; we were surrounded by packs of what I don’t know. I felt the rush of tremble, my whole body was shaking. Fear trapped me.

We heard grinding teets, licking and from there ferocious mouths saliva dripping they came closer to undisguised their identity to show superiority. They were wolves, now I was even more scared, confidently Mr. Anderson spoke, “don’t be afraid everything will be okay”.

I wondered if he had a plan or he was trying to make us feel safe in an unsafe environment as if that would work. As I began to surrender, searching for some biscuits in my bag, I saw by the rear end of my eye, spears shooting, and fire blazing and in fright we saw people jumping out of trees even out of dust. They looked so savage and barbaric. They were even more scary looking than the wolves but which would I prefer eaten alive or just left in fright.

In seconds the wolves scattered and the people came out, staring at us for a moment, we were all in silence. The people parted and a woman walked in the middle and she uttered, “Hi, We are off springs of our ancestors who were slaves”. My teacher spoke and said, “We are just heading up and thank you for protecting us”.

The lady replied and said, “She hopes we visit again and we should have a good journey”.

We smiled and greeted and continued. Finally we were at the old wooden building

Packing and preparing for the next day for our flight.
