It’s safe to say, Meghan and Harry have completely blown any other celebrity gossip out of the water this week. In this week’s gossip column, we reveal what exactly Meghan said, how the Queen responded and why Piers Morgan left Good Morning Britain.

Let’s start with The Interview

Let’s remind ourselves of exactly what Meghan and Harry said.

First up, Meghan revealed to Oprah that certain senior members of the royal family had approached Harry with some startling questions on his child’s race.

Meghan said, “there were concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”

Oprah, and many viewers, were left outraged at what Meghan said she has experienced since she entered the royal family.

The shocking revelations didn’t stop there either. Next, Meghan addressed her mental health crisis when the couple was still living in England as senior royal family members. She said, “I just didn’t want to be alive anymore. And that was a very clear and real and frightening constant thought.”

Meghan further explained how she went to the Institution and human resources team for help but received nothing.

Meghan and Harry went on to discuss Archie’s title, or lack thereof, their respectful relationship with the Queen and frightening security crisis.

So, what did the Queen have to say?

Not a lot, to be honest.

On behalf of the Queen, Buckingham Palace released a statement to say they were saddened to learn the full extent of Meghan and Harry’s situation and will deal with the racism allegations privately.

Not much goss from the Queen, I’m afraid – she’s as dignified as ever. However, the rumours are present nevertheless.

Piers Morgan leaves GMB with quite an exit

During an on-air conversation with weather presenter Alex Beresford, Piers Morgan said he “didn’t believe a word she said.” He eventually walked off set in outrage.

ITV confirmed Piers Morgan has now left Good Morning Britain.

Meghan’s dad is out for interviews … again

Meghan’s dad announced he will continue doing interviews with the press until his daughter talks to him. Meghan and her father have not spoken since 2018 when he had a heart attack and could not make it to her wedding.

Mr Markle went on to say he didn’t think the royal family was racist, and the conversation over Archie’s skin colour was probably just a “dumb question.” He then said Meghan and Harry’s comments were “bullsh*t.”
