The 45-year-old star admitted the retired footballer - who she described as a "great cook - revealed she has picked up some helpful kitchen tips from David and his wife Victoria.

Asked if the fashion designer taught her how to make the tasty dish, she told Jessie Ware's 'Table Manners' podcast: "No, David did... David's a great cook.

"He didn't teach me [to cook], but he told me the trick is ketchup."

Eva doesn't think she's returned the favour with any culinary advice of her own, but she's happy to soak up the knowledge from the famous couple.

She added: "I don’t think I’ve taught him anything. He makes a good Bolognese. He’s very much into cooking. You can see from his Instagram.

"Victoria always introduces me to new things, there were these crackers. I was like, ‘what is it?' She’s always hip to the newest healthy food."

And Eva opened up on her own cookbook, which she described as her life's story "through food".

She explained: "I have a cookbook. It was like a memoir of my life told through food and my travels around the world.

"I love cooking. It’s so therapeutic for me. Every time I land from a flight, whether it’s from Texas to California which is only 3 hours, or if I’m landing from Dubai which is a 17 hour flight, the first thing I do is get in the kitchen and cook.

"It’s the one thing that makes me feel at home. I cook everything from Shepherd's pie to tacos. My go to because [of] my husband is chicken tacos. I make them in 4 minutes."

The 'Desperate Housewives' star also revealed her choice for a 'last supper'.

She added: "A charcuterie plate with really really soft cheeses and parmesan. Parmesan brings out the taste in the red wines. I would have that at 6:30-7. When it comes to dinner, I love a Caviar and that’s a splurgy kind of dinner. I love Caviar. I love it, love it, love it."
