The 'Wonder Woman' star had some very kind words for her fellow Revlon ambassador, and compliment the work the 30-year-old model is doing to help change the way society looks at certain figures.

She told 'Extra': "I think she's beautiful and I think she's very, very smart, and I think that the work that she's doing in paving the way ... for people to accept women in all different sizes is magnificent, and that's the way it should be and I'm very happy she's here."

Gal explained how it was an "interesting and empowering" time for women at the moment, with the potential for a big cultural shift.

She added: "We're in a very, very important and interesting and empowering era for women. We're in this incredible cultural change ... And honestly, I think that all of the world understands the power of equality and the way that things should actually be, so it's great and I am celebrating this."

Meanwhile, Ashley recently explained she has her mother to thank for how she's grown up to love and embrace her curves.

In an editorial for Glamour magazine, she shared: "When I first started gaining weight in my teens, I remember my mom walked in on me while I was rubbing my hip.

"I told her, with tears in my eyes, 'It just bulges out right here.' She was like, 'Ashley, that's just a part of your hip and your butt. If you didn't have that, you wouldn't fit into this family.' Then it kind of hit me. It was OK.

"That side butt - that's what my husband calls it now - is just something the women in my family have. I was lucky then - and still now - to have a positive role model. But where are the role models for the rest of us? There's no size requirement to fit a lipstick. So, why have there been so few curvy models in national and worldwide beauty campaigns up until this point?"
