The 'Game of Thrones' star - who is known for playing the role of Jon Snow in the popular series - has revealed he is a highly pessimistic person because he always believes he has filmed a "terrible scene" after he shoots an episode of the American fantasy drama.

The dark-haired hunk told ABC News: "I'm such a big cynic, I film a scene and [think] it's going to be a terrible scene."

However, the British star is left surprised when other people congratulate him on his performance and are happy with the outcome.

he continued: "Then when everyone loves it, I'm happy."

The 30-year-old actor has teased the upcoming instalment, which is set to air on July 16 this year, is much "grander" and more ambitious than any of the previous six series because the creative team have had a bigger budget to spend on the production, although there will be three less episodes.

Speaking about the forthcoming seven-part programme, Kit - whose full name is Christopher Catesby Harington - explained: "[Season seven has] so much more ambition. More grander.

"There are less episodes this year, so they spent more money on those episodes. So, the whole scale of it is up."

Kit believes 'Game of Thrones' - which is based on George R. R. Martin's novels - has to end with an unforgettable finale, which no other television show has uncovered before.

He said: "That has to happen at the end of 'Thrones', this season and next season. It has to go into places TV hasn't been."

Meanwhile, Kit's co-star Sophie Turner - who plays Sansa Stark in the television show - is gutted the series will end and is worried about her future career plans when filming ends because it has been her "life" for the past few years.

Speaking previously, she said: "I'm probably sadder than you guys are. It's been my life since I was 13, so I'm pretty sad about it.

"It's crazy when the show finishes I'll pretty much be the same age Kit [Harington] was when he started ... which is crazy. I don't know what I'm going to do with my life."
