The 'Bad Moms' actress - who is pregnant with her second child with husband Ashton Kutcher - and her spouse may have a combined net worth of around $170 million, but they don't want daughter Wyatt, 22 months, and her unborn sibling to grow up with a sense of entitlement.

She said: "[We'll be] teaching them from a very early age that, 'Mommy and Daddy may have a dollar but you're poor.' "

And the 32-year-old beauty admitted she and Ashton had discussed how they would "raise a child not to be an a**hole" before they even started a family.

The 'Black Swan' star said she and her 'Two and a Half Men' actor husband are "self-made" and both had extremely poor upbringings.

She said: "We both came from pretty solid poverty backgrounds and grew up very poor. Nothing's been handed to us."

And though she thinks it is "beautiful" her own kids will never struggle for food, she admits it is bittersweet because they won't truly understand hardship.

She told Australian radio DJs Kyle and Jackie O: "On one hand it's beautiful, they'll never know what it's like to have ketchup soup for dinner but they'll never know how to appreciate things."

Meanwhile, the actress - who recently revealed she and Ashton spent just $90 on their wedding rings from online marketplace Etsy - admitted she never wears her $250,000 five-carat diamond engagement ring because she is so worried about the lengths someone might go to in order to steal it.

She said: "My engagement ring is in a safety deposit box. I'm like, 'I can't wear this because someone's going to chop my hand off for it.' "
