The former Saturdays star - who got engaged to the sportsman earlier this year - admitted she always wants to be around her 34-year-old fiance so it can be tough when he is playing cricket around the world.

However, she's grown to realise that spending periods of time apart helps to keep their relationship "fresh" and they've found a good balance.

She said: "We are that sickening couple, because a lot of people now will be like, 'OK, I need a bit of space and independence'.

"But I am craving to see him all of the time because he goes away for such long stints. I think it does really work for us.’

"If you had asked me at the start if I’d think that was my ideal scenario I would just tell you I miss him too much. Which I do.

"But when he comes home it feels really fresh. We can’t wait to hang out with each other all the time, so it has definitely worked so far."

Mollie, 33, admitted it had taken her a lot of time and "work" for her to appreciate having time alone away from Stuart.

She told the Metro newspaper's Guilty Pleasures column: "I miss him so much. It’s something I had to really work on myself.

"Now I have learnt how to deal with it. I know it sounds corny but I try and do things for myself and use that time to work on myself. Like exercise, then I have a goal that helps me count down the weeks...

"I used to always feel guilty about sitting down and watching TV and relaxing but this past year, for my mental health, I’ve learned it is really important just to switch off."
